President 1000 Satellite Receiver This receiver features C/Ku compatibility, 100 programmable favorite channels, 45 programmable satellite positions, digital stereo outputs on videocipher channels, analog audio left and right outputs, UHF remote, parental lockout capable and a built-in TI filter. 1. Go to a satellite that is near to or next to the satellite to be programmed. 2. Select a channel that is active on the satellite that is to be programmed and on the satellite that you are starting from. 3. On the front of the receiver: Hold LOCK until the memory lock light goes off. If the lock light will not go off it may have a password protection is enabled, the screen will display “You Want Unlock Functions?” “Enter Password”. Put your password in if you have one. If you don’t know the password then try entering (0000). If the password works then the screen will display “ Memory Lock Is Off” “Sat. Programming Is Enabled”. -If you cannot get the lock light to go off, then call Uniden. 4. Follow the proper procedure: If you are starting from a satellite with the same format, then tap EAST or WEST until a different picture or black screen appears. -If you are starting from a satellite with the opposite format, then tap east or west just until the picture is gone, then press POLARITY on the receiver one time. A picture should appear, if not continue moving east or west until a picture or black screen appears. 6. If the correct satellite is tuned in and the picture is correct, then go to step 7. Otherwise, continue moving east or west until the correct satellite is found. 7. Press PS on the remote (under the door) and the “** Unlock Funct. **” menu will be displayed on the screen. Press 5 for the Program Satellite mode and the following screen will be displayed.

: C-SPARE 1 USE (LEFT/RIGHT ARROW, ALPHA, NUM, 1-3) --------------------------------------------- 8. Press 1 and an arrow will be displayed beside line 1. Use the left and right arrow on the lower half of the remote to select a spare name or a name that you do not use. 9. Press 2 and an arrow will be displayed beside line 2. Press the LEFT arrow on the remote or on the receiver until the desired letter for the satellite to be programmed appears on line 2. Next press the RIGHT arrow on the remote or on the receiver until the desired number for the satellite to be programmed appears on line 2. 10. After getting the correct name, press ENTER on the remote or STORE on the receiver. 12. If the picture needs to be tuned, you can press 3 on the remote and this will put an arrow on line 3. Use the left or right arrows on the lower half of the remote to move the dish east or west for the best picture and then press ENTER again. 13. After pressing ENTER, “Satellite is Stored” will be displayed at the bottom of the screen. 14. Press CANCEL on the remote under the door to exit the menu. 15. Press LOCK on the receiver to turn the memory lock light on. 16. This completes the process if all steps worked correctly. Verify that the satellite is stored by moving off that satellite then back. |
