The Fujitsu FSR 500 features C and Ku Band compatibility, 50 satellite position memory, auto dish and polarity tuning, full on-screen display, IR full function remote, optional UHF/IR remote, 250 channel total memory capacity, 100 pre-programmed/re-programmable favorite video channels and 50 pre-programmed/re-programmable favorite audio channels. It also features 20 channels & 10 satellites parental lockout, 2 pair of audio/video outputs and 13V/18V compatible.

HOW TO PROGRAM A SATELLITE

1. Go to a satellite that has the same polarity (if possible) that is close to the satellite to be programmed.

2. Select a channel that is active on the satellite to be programmed and on the satellite that you are starting on.

3. Press MODE then 4 key. (See below, un-bolded)

4. Press select and the programming screen will be displayed. (See below, bolded part will appear)

5. *Do not press enter if you find the correct satellite.* Begin tapping left arrow or right arrow in the correct direction of the satellite to be programmed. Stop when a different picture or black screen appears. If it is the correct satellite go to step 6, if not, then continue moving until correct satellite is found.

6. If you are on the correct satellite, then you are ready to name the satellite and store it.

7. Press 1 for Abbreviation. The first letter will begin blinking. Press up arrow or down arrow to scroll through the alphabet the correct letter. Press right arrow one time to move over to the number, it should be blinking then. Press up arrow or down arrow to select the correct number. OR Press HELP to scroll through the preset abbreviations.

8. Press 3 for Name. Use up arrow or down arrow to change the letters. Use right arrow or left arrow to move the cursor over. OR Press HELP to scroll through the preset names.

9. Verify that line 2 is still C-band. If not, press 2 continuously until C-band appears.

10. If all information is correct then, press ENTER to save the name and position.

11. Press MODE twice to exit the menus.

12. Verify that you are still getting the correct satellite. If so, then the programming is done. If there is no picture then the polarity probably reversed when you named it. Press the select twice. Number 5 should display Polarity Change. If it does, then press 5 to reverse the polarity. If number 5 is not, then press select until Polarity Change appears on number 5, then press select. To save the changes press MODE, then 4 and ENTER.

13. This should complete the process.

HOW TO ERASE A SATELLITE

1. Go to the satellite to be deleted.

2. Press MODE, then 6 for Delete Program Mode.

3. Press 5 for Delete Satellite.

4. The satellite selected will have the arrows pointing to it.

5. If this is the correct satellite, then press ENTER. If not, press CANCEL or MODE twice.

 

HOW TO CHANGE THE AUDIO MODE

1. Press select 3 times to advance to the Audio Menu.

2. Press 5 to change the bandwidth between wide or narrow. This is displayed above line 4.

3. Press left arrow or right arrow to select Mono, or VC Digital Audio.

4. Press up arrow or down arrow to change the audio frequency to the desired frequency.

5. If you want to select a preset frequency, then press 4 to display them. Press the number that is beside the desired frequency.

6. Press select to clear the screen.

 

HOW TO TURN ON/OFF THE PARENTAL LOCK

To view a channel/satellite with a parental lock

1. The screen will display LOCKED. Press PL and the screen will display "Input 4 Numbers". Enter the 4-digit password. Try 9 8 6 - 7 if other passwords do not work or you do not have one.

2. The picture will be displayed.

To remove a channel/satellite from the parental lock

1. Do the above steps.

2. Within 5 seconds, press MODE.

3. Then within 5 seconds, press PL.

4. The screen will display CLEAR.

To set a parental lock

If there is no password set then:

1. Press PL.

2. Press 1 or 2 to select to lock either a channel or satellite.

3. Enter your 4-digit password.

4. Press PL to complete the process.

If the password has already been set then:

1. Press PL.

2. Press 1 or 2 to lock channel/satellite

3. To activate the parental lock, press 3 and the screen will display ALL ON.

 

HOW TO CHANGE SATELLITES

1. Press SAT then the letter and then number of the desired satellite.

OR

1. Press SAT then use left arrow, right arrow, up arrow or down arrow to select the satellite on the screen.

2. Press ENTER.
