Satellite name & position

Every table starts with a satellite name and the position of the satellite. These satellites are all accessible on the East coast. Satellites East of Spacenet 3R (83 West) will be out of sight in most locations on the West Coast.

Tp

This is the satellite transponder downlink frequency. The frequency is given in GHz.

If the frequency is between 3.700 and 4.200 GHz, it means the signal is in C-Band. C-Band requires antennae of 6'and more to be received properly*.

If the frequency is between 11.700 and 12.200 GHz, it means the signal is in the standard North American Ku-Band. Ku-Band signals can be received with antennae as small as 24" in diameter in some regions.

Pol

This is the polarity of the signal.

If the polarity is Horizontal (H) or Vertical (V), a standard feedhorn / LNBF may be used.

If the polarity is Right hand circular (R) or Left hand circular (L), a feedhorn with circular polarity, such as the Corotor II+ International, will be required. See our feedhorn section for more information on this feedhorn. A standard, non-circular, feedhorn will not work for the reception of circular signals.

These are the most significant channels available through the given package.

Scrambled

This gives information on the status of the package:

 

The package is available and will remain available for the foreseeable future from its current position
  We do not have information concerning the future availability of this package, however, it is currently available and it has been available for some time already. This package might however scramble eventually (one week, one month, one year, ten years ?) and/or move from its current position.
  This package is currently available but it is scheduled to scramble soon (usually within 1 to 12 months).
  This package is scrambled and is not available. There are no plans for this package to become available through a free-to-air only receiver such as the this

Dish Size

This is the dish size required to receive the mentioned package in the North East (Southern Ontario, Quebec and Northern New York, Maine, etc.). Dish size may vary if you are outside this region.
*:It is possible to receive some C-Band satellites with an antenna as small as 5' in diameter, however, such an antenna will not be adequate to receive most of the satellites located on the Clarke belt. We do not carry antennae smaller than 7.5' in diameter.
